Get Online Week in Salford 2023
Get Online Week is a national campaign to inspire people to do more online and help them learn how.
We are committed to making a Salford a digitally inclusive city and are working with organisations across the city to bring you various opportunities to upskill in all things digital. Read on to learn about the many resources available to Salford residents.
A lot of extra digital support is available during Get Online Week at our gateway centres in Swinton, Walkden, Pendleton and Eccles or Broughton Hub. Just drop-in and speak to a member of staff and they can support you with a host of council services. Most council services can be contacted using our salford.gov.uk website, but if you need help using it, help is at hand.
- Help with council tax or benefits
- Assistance to complete an application for a blue badge or free school meals
- Reporting your bin not being emptied or a streetlight that needs replacing
- Using the council’s website,
- Completing an online form, or
- Signing up to the family portal.
Now’s the time to get help when online!
Each evening during the week, just bring your device to your local Gateway/Hub and we will guide you through the process.
You can also speak to us about any questions about the internet, staying safe online etc., no question is a silly. Support is available to anyone who needs it.
While our staff can help you with anything council related, we have partners who are hosting workshops and sessions to support residents get online and discover for themselves the benefits of going online.
