Digital Leaders Week in Salford 2023
Digital Leaders week has passed and we are, once again, proud to have been able to represent Salford highlighting the digital support that is available across the city, how we use digital services to accelerate the support our residents receive and the transformations that have occurred throughout Salford Council.
We've had a very busy year at Salford Council and we've been eager to share our progress with the public. Salford hosted a number of events online over this week contributing to Digital Leaders Week, and a successful in person event at Broughton Hub which is in the heart of our community., inviting partners, members of our networks and fellow local authority teams from various locations.
This event showcased Salford’s innovative approaches to digital inclusion, debt recovery, and how we support residents financially and the most vulnerable in our communities through our BetterOff and Digital Everyone programmes. It was a unique opportunity to share our pioneering approaches, expertise and experiences.
Digital Leaders 100
The prestigious Digital Leaders 100 awards celebrates organisations leading digital transformation in the UK. We were excited to be shortlisted for a DL100 Award in the category of Digital Public Service Innovation of the Year. This is for the innovative way in which we delivered the government’s energy rebate scheme last year and how our digital services team provided added value for customers.
We're thrilled to announce that not only did the council win Digital Public Service Innovation of the Year for its delivery of the government’s energy rebate scheme, it was also named Overall DL100 Winner!
