Fully-funded Skills Bootcamps for jobseekers
These Skills Bootcamps cover the following topics: Cloud Engineering, Cyber Security, Data Analytics and Games Development. This is a fantastic opportunity for people seeking work as you receive a guaranteed job interview upon completion of the Skills Bootcamp along with an industry recognised certificate, personalised pastoral support, a graduation, client facing project experience and so much more.
Participants on this course have been able to go form being unemployed to earning a salary of up to £40,000 a year thanks to the skills and qualifications they have achieved.
These courses are based online, to apply you must be aged 19 and over and to have been living in the UK for 3+ years.

First Steps HTML Website Building
A free course for Salford residents aged over 19 for 4 weeks. If you would like to learn more about HTML and CSS coding for building a website, this is the place to start.
You will learn about HTML and CSS, how to add photos to a website, linking pages together to form a website, inserting hyperlinks, publishing content to the web and how to develop free Google Sites websites.
Starting date at Broughton Hub: Wednesday 1st of June from 10am to 12:30 noon for 4 weeks.
Starting date at Swinton Gateway: Thursday 9th of June from 6pm to 8:30pm for 4 weeks.

Digital Edge Programme
Are you tech savvy and would love to work in the digital tech world? Maybe you have a computer related qualification but don't know how to take the first step into a career. You could be someone who had worked in non-tech sectors previously but now want to make that move into the digital world, or maybe you enjoy coding and would now love to build a career in this constantly developing sector.
The programme sees Catch22 find and recruit candidates aged 18 to 45 years old with a range of challenges – from gender and ethnicity barriers, homelessness, mental health issues, school exclusion and disability. It then supports them to access a digital apprenticeship and entry level IT job with a local employer within Microsoft’s network of customers and partners.
Digital Edge aims to understand what can help broaden the opportunity of an apprenticeship and entry level IT job to those who currently face barriers to access the programme, and what support employers looking to diversify their workforce might need.
What you will gain
- An understanding of digital apprenticeships and entry-level IT jobs
- An insight into the digital and technology sector
- Awareness of key employability skills
- Learned how to complete a tailored CV, cover letter, and applications for the technology sector
- Developed their interview skills and techniques
- The ability to set future career goals
Once the programme is completed, participants can access ongoing 1-2-1 employability support

- Aged between 18 & 45
- Access to a laptop or desktop computer with access to the internet
- Not currently working or in education
- Good level of computer skills

Digital People
GMYM are currently working alongside HIVE Manchester to signpost young people into an exciting ‘Digital People’ course that supports young people to develop networking, coding and cyber skills.
It is an accessible programme and is aimed at supporting young people towards employment. It will be working alongside professionals from CISCO in a mentoring capacity - a top IT company that will support young people to identify further training and employment routes relevant to the skills they have developed.
