Salford Foundation - Women's Services

About them
Salford Foundation delivers targeted support to empower women facing barriers such as digital exclusion, unemployment, poor wellbeing, and social isolation.
Positive Pathways
The Pathways Programme at Salford Foundation offers holistic support for women aged 18+, particularly those with low-level mental health needs. Following referral, participants are triaged and may be enrolled in the Positive Pathways stream, which includes a wellbeing-focused course and one-to-one support.
The programme aims to boost confidence, emotional health, social connections, and coping skills. Referrals are accepted from agencies and individuals, though the service is not suitable for women with high-level mental health needs.
Together Women Project
Salford Foundation delivers an award-winning, gender-specific service designed to support female offenders in Salford who face multiple and complex needs. Operating from a women-only centre, the project offers a safe and trauma-informed environment where women can access a comprehensive package of support.
The service includes court and police diversion schemes, community sentence support, probation programme delivery, and intensive one-to-one interventions. These interventions address a wide range of issues such as domestic abuse, parenting, emotional wellbeing, housing, debt, and benefits.
The project aims to reduce reoffending, prevent family breakdown, improve access to community services, and divert women from custody. It addresses nine criminal justice pathways and works in close partnership with criminal justice agencies, including on-site seconded probation officers.
Referrals can be made by submitting a completed referral form to the Women’s Services Team.
