Salford Council Wins DigiLeaders DL100 Awards
Salford Council have been announced as overall winner of the 2018 #DL100 awards, as well as scooping up joint Digital Council of the Year alongside Birmingham.
The awards recognise Salford’s work towards becoming more digitally inclusive and digitally transforming public services.
Salford launched their digital programme in January with an event at The Landing. Local and international businesses including Barclays, Lloyds Banking Group, TalkTalk and Google pledged their support for new digital inclusion and digital skills initiatives in the region.

Salford City Council recently appointed Jon Corner, CEO of The Landing, as its first Chief Digital Officer. In this role he will lead digital transformation and support the ongoing growth of digital industries citywide.
