#DigitalSalford launch event
Digital You, MyCity Salford and MyCity Health, our exciting new initiatives around creating digital communities were officially launched in January 2018.
This high profile event took place on 11 January 2018 at The Landing, MediaCityUK and opened with Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester outlining his digital vision for the region.
Attendees came from across the public and private sector and included Lloyds Banking Group, Google, TalkTalk, and Barclays who all pledged their support. The lively community panel discussion really stood out to the audience who could see how digital had changed people’s lives in a meaningful way. The feedback was fantastic and the short video below gives a flavour of the day.
If you can't hear the video or don't have sound on your device you can turn on the captions option in YouTube.
Guests were invited to take part in demonstrations on MyCity Salford and MyCity Health and both Good Things Foundation and our Salford Digital Eagles were also on hand to showcase the important work they're doing in the city.
