About them

Salix Homes is a multi-award winning social housing provider based in Salford, Greater Manchester. We’re a not-for-profit charitable organisation who put our customers at the heart of everything we do, from investing in our homes and communities, to how we go about providing our services.

We began our journey in 2007 when we launched as an arms length management organisation (ALMO) operating on behalf of Salford City Council.

What they do

Since 2015 we've invested £75m into our homes and communities. This made sure that all our homes meet the Government’s Decent Homes standard. 

We also provide jobs, apprenticeships and training opportunities for local people and we work with our partner agencies to help our tenants improve their own lives.
